Braves Esports Take Home KCAC Triple-Crown – Ottawa University Athletics

OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University Esports team has taken the KCAC “Triple-Crown”, winning the conference championships in Call of Duty, Overwatch, and Valorant over the course of this past week.

The OU Call of Duty roster is split into two teams that are reigning COD National Champions and National Runner-Ups. The roster includes Christopher Abbott, Isiaha Ahrens, Tyler Bailey, Kevin Bonanno, Dominick Caparotti, Justin Darter, Zachary Herbert, Kylie Kracht, Austin Miller, Ethan Moore, Takotah Proffitt, Jamison Taton, and Michael Tobias.

The OU Overwatch team defeated Kansas Wesleyan in the final round to take the OW Championship. The OW roster: Jonathan Bayley, Derek Beach, Dylan Fenwick, Mason Furthmiller, Kiera Greer, Tyrell Herrmann, Caleb Heun, Ashton Hutchinson, and Reese Pack.

The Valorant team also defeated Kansas Wesleyan in the final round to take the Valorant Championship. The Valorant roster: Joseph Adams, Jesus Andres, Jonathan Damato, Matthew Elmore, Patrick Klos, Malika Singh, Arujun Surenthra, and Trevor Wolf.

“These teams have worked really hard all season and fought through adversity all the way,” said Graduate Assistant Coach Riley Boyd. “To win three conference championships in one season… it’s awesome, but it’s also the standard we are setting: the Braves just win.”
