WePlay Esports enters Rocket League with $100,000 tournament – Esports Insider


Media holding company and esports tournament organiser WePlay Holding has announced its first Rocket League event, the WePlay Esports Invitational.

The tournament, set to commence on September 16th, will see 16 teams from Europe, the Middle East, Africa and North America compete for its $100,000 (~£72,600) prize pool.

Some of the teams participating in the event include Team BDS, Team Vitality, Guild Esports, The General NRG, G2 Esports, and Sandrock Gaming, among others.

Regarding the new tournament, Eugene Luchianenco, Head of Esports at WePlay Esports, commented: “We have no intention to stop developing: we continue to explore and discover new titles and areas of work. Rocket League has made waves among the esports community. 

“I am sure that the WePlay Esports Invitational Featuring Rocket League will pleasantly surprise the fans of the game with what our team has in store for the event.”
